The BasicsAll of us remember TCGs from childhood. TCG stands for Trading Card Game, and as the name suggests, the goal was to trade cards with others in order to collect a certain thing you wanted. Online TCGs use the same concept, and you get to collect cute little pixel cards to display on a webpage! Mystery Sagashi is a TCG based on the series Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, and will eventually cover all versions. There are already a few Sailor Moon TCGs out there, but like each of them, Mystery Sagashi hopes to offer something fresh and fun to the TCG world. In order to join Mystery Sagashi, finish reading this page, then head over to the Rules page to read those, then submit a form to join. You will be sent a starter pack of twelve cards within a week, and it is up to you to put those cards on your tradepost (a page for displaying all your cards and badges), and keep track of them and any other cards you get. You can earn cards by playing games on the site or the forum, entering contests, helping Naoko, leveling in the TCG, and trading with other members! For an extra card in your starter pack, please name your favorite senshi in the comments section of your join form. Mastering and LevelingOne "advances" in a TCG by mastering sets of cards (although please remember that it's about having fun, not competing with others :O). A set is any set listed by itself in the list on the Cards page, and are usually 10 (for special sets) or 20 (for normal sets) cards. Getting all the cards in a set means you have mastered it, and mastering sets gets you more cards as a reward, and helps you level up! Mystery Sagashi also has something called "Linked Sets". As each set of cards is tied to a specific medium of Sailor Moon (i.e., anime or PGSM), there can be several sets featuring the same character, but from a different version, as well as different sets featuring the senshi's civilian and sailor forms (i.e., Sailor Moon or Usagi). When you master two or more linked sets, you can get extra rewards! Check a set's page to see what sets it links with. Leveling in Mystery Sagashi is accomplished by having a certain cardworth and number of sets mastered. Currency and CouponsMystery Sagashi has a currency counted in coins (although the graphics look nothing like coins ^^;), and two types of coupons. These can be given out randomly by games or for donating or helping out, just like cards can. Coins can be used to buy cards, and coupons can be traded in for cards. Coupons are tradeable with other members, although coins are not. Referrals, Hiatus and Misc.Referring members to Mystery Sagashi can also earn you rewards, so make sure a new member says so if you refer them! You are expected to keep your tradepost up to date. If you need to go on hiatus, please notify Naoko. Without notice, if your post is not updated in three months, you will be considered to have quit, and you will be removed from the members list. If you're ready to join, then go to the Rules page and read over those! For sticking with me so long, type "Moon Crisis Make Up" in the comments field on the join form, and I'll send you a coupon with your starter pack. |
