“Miori-chan, lunch time!”

The little girl perked up. “Wai, lunch!” she exclaimed as her canine mount raced to the kitchen. The dog’s feet lost traction once they hit the tiled kitchen floor, however, and the girl screamed as she went sprawling, sliding across the floor.

Whump.

A strong pair of hands caught her and lifted her up.

She giggled. “Papa!”

Fujimiya Ran smiled and held the two-year-old to him. “No more riding Kuma inside, hm, Miori-chan?”

Kuma wuffed at his feet, and Miori giggled again. “Kuma say Kuma be more careful next time.”

Ran snorted, but let it go when he noticed his wife of three years enter the room. He held their daughter out to the bluenette.

“Mama!” Miori declared.

Shouko smiled. “Hai, Miori-chan.” She took the toddler, careful not to trip over her daughter’s pet as she stepped closer to Ran.
