The girl of twin gaijin found and adopted by Sanosuke and Tsutomi, Himiko had it the worst off early in life. Apparently abused, when Tsutomi found her, her throat had been cut so she would never speak. As soon as she was old enough, Himiko took to pen and paper like a magnet. Always an object of interest to the young Himura boy, Himiko made a game of getting him to chase her, but eventually, on New Years' at the turn of the century, let him catch her and married him soon enough for them to adopt Rumiko's son Kiyoshi and pass him off as their own
